2017–2023 L5P Duramax NWT Custom ECM Tuning

Every tune is developed from your truck's original ECM read file and customized using the vehicle information you provide, helping ensure compatibility with your current setup.

Optional SOTF (Switch On The Fly) Upgrade

Upgrade your order with an optional Switch On The Fly (SOTF) calibration package.

With SOTF tuning installed, you can conveniently select between multiple custom tuning positions without reflashing the ECM. (Through factory cruise control buttons)

HP Tuners Requirements

The following items are required to complete your custom tune:

• HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3, or MPVI4 interface
• 4 HP Tuners Universal Credits for the ECM
• HP Tuners VCM Suite software

2017–2018 Model Year Notice

2017–2018 L5P trucks require the HP Tuners E41 Unlock Cable before the ECM can be read or flashed through the OBD-II port.

No ECM or control modules need to be removed or shipped for unlocking. The unlock process is completed through the HP Tuners E41 Unlock Cable.

Information Required After Ordering

After placing your order, please email the following information to sales@pitautoperformance.com:

• Order Number
• Stock ECM read file
• HP Tuners Info Log (.htm or .html)
• Current tire size
• Intake brand (stock or aftermarket)
• MPVI serial number

Important: When creating your stock read, read the ECM by itself only. Do not perform a combined ECM and TCM read.

How to Read Your Stock ECM

1. Connect your HP Tuners interface to your vehicle.
2. Turn the ignition to the RUN position without starting the engine.
3. Open VCM Editor.
4. Select Flash → Read Vehicle.
5. Choose to read the ECM only.
6. Save the completed stock read file.
7. Email the file along with the required information listed above to sales@pitautoperformance.com.

Processing

Once your stock file and required vehicle information have been received, your calibration will be reviewed and placed into our production queue. If additional information is needed, a member of the Pit Auto Performance team will contact you.

• Custom calibration files are built specifically for your vehicle and configuration.
• A compatible HP Tuners interface and the required Universal Credits are the customer's responsibility unless purchased separately.
• Verify your vehicle is mechanically sound before installing any calibration.
